Chipotle really doesn't want to be fast food. The restaurants are usually clean and pretty nice. Which is good, because the food is absolutely terrible. Lime rice is an abomination against Mexican food. Their meat is usually stringy and fatty. Oh, and they're horribly overpriced; expect to pay a couple bucks extra just for some mediocre chips! Oddly, not a single menu item has any chipotle in it. They are a wannabe 'gourmet chain' with bad, overpriced food. I have friends that swear by this stuff, but those friends have horrible taste in Mexican food. I would honestly rather have Taco Bell; at least it's cheap and satisfying, and they won't put fucking lime in their rice and chunks of fat in their burritos. |

Problem is, I am spoiled from living in the Bay Area for 10 years. Chipotle is just a cheap knockoff from the great places I used to frequent when I lived out there. I was extremely disappointed in my burrito. Not enough meat. Lime rice blows. Only tried once, I usually don't give second chances.
Great concept, but go back and learn from the best. Don't skimp, do it right.
